Our Story…
Three years ago, on the Sunday night before Martin Luther King Day, a girl pulled into a parking lot of a dive beach bar, empty in the middle of winter. As she walked up looking around for her date, the man on the porch called out "Hi stranger". A week later they were walking up the riverwalk hand in hand and visiting old book stores and coffee shops. A month before, Jeremiah and Rachel had met on that most mocked of dating mediums- Tinder. He had just gotten back to Jacksonville from deployment. She had just returned to Wilmington after grad school in the UK. Each had just ended an adventure and was about to start one together. Their first trip together was to the cabin. Rachel has been coming here since she was 8 and Jeremiah instantly loved it as well. Eight months later they reached a challenge when Jeremiah returned to Minnesota after getting out of the Marine Corp but it instead showed them how important they were to each other. In February they moved into their first apartment together. They have grown together for the past three years, through school and work, joy and sadness, and all that life brings. On August 13th while visiting his parents in Minnesota, he asked her to spend the rest of their life together. They are thrilled to have you join them as they enter this new chapter.
